Directory information preserves the file attributes like- file name, folder structure, while storage path is stored in the Data content.<\/p>\n<p>The data content is the main content of files which is a two-part catalog of a book and the contents. Once the files are deleted or the drive becomes inaccessible, the file system only changes directory information and makes the data invisible. But the data content is still intact, enabling us to recover our deleted and lost files.<\/p>\n<p>But you have to stop using the computer and do not save any other file by mistake. Restore deleted files from Backup: &#8211; <\/strong>Most users often backup data for security purposes and if you do so, you can easily find your lost file. For this:-<\/p>\n<p>A:- Open &#8220;Control Panel&#8221; and choose &#8220;Backup and Restore (Windows 7)&#8221; option &gt;&gt; Click on &#8220;Restore my files&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>B:-\u00a0Select \u201cBrowse for files\u201d or \u201cBrowse for folders\u201d as per your need so that you can select the previously created backup.<\/p>\n<p>C:-\u00a0Provide destination location to save your files.<\/p>\n<p>D: &#8211; Now, as per your need, you can select &#8220;Copy and Replace&#8221;, &#8220;Don&#8217;t copy&#8221; or &#8220;Copy but keep both files&#8221; any of these.
